2024 Update: Side Hustle Club

As 2024 rolls in, I’d like to take the time to update the Side Hustle Club community about the state of the publication, details on becoming a writer and what I’d like to see in the future.
Medium publication owners don’t get paid for the work they do. Or, at least, I don’t. I’ve been managing the Side Hustle Club publication, mostly alone, for years now. It doesn’t directly result in any monetization to me. Maybe one day Medium will decide to pay all their publication owners, but that’s not the case for now.
A brief history
Starting in January 2020, the Side Hustle Club publication has been serving up side hustles and ways to make extra income for three years. During that time, we’ve seen our small community grow and change.
By the numbers
As of posting this article. the Side Hustle club has:

- Nearly 1,000 contributors
- More than 40,000 monthly views
- 36,000 minutes reads each month
- 1 editor. Yours truly.
