Can Freelancing on Fiverr Be a Good Side Gig?
Your results may vary but here’s what’s happening 3 months in for me
At the end of December I decided to re-activate my Fiverr seller account and try to make Fiverr a part of re-estabilishing my freelance writing income. To be honest, I didn’t think much would come of it.
I’d just finished reading Freelance Your Way to Freedom by Alex Fasulo and even though I was doubtful, I decided to give Fiverr another chance.
In the past three months, I haven’t gotten rich but I have seen my income from writing grow.
Month 1 — January
January was my first full month of Fiverr income. It wasn’t very big but thanks to re-activating a Level Two account, I did manage to get some income.
I started off with a handful of Fiverr gigs, focusing on topics I wanted to write about. I didn’t want to be approached by people who were looking for articles on subjects I had no interest in writing about so I went niche on my Fiverr platform. I know some people (including Fasulo) say you should be open to write about anything at the beginning but I wasn’t interested in building a business that required me to write about things I would resent having to write about.
