Financial Freedom: The Skills, Methods and Steps to Earn $10K a Month
You’re probably exhausted from searching the internet on how to earn money online and only finding articles full of generic lists without specific instructions.
So am I.
That is why I have spent months researching and implementing what thousands of solo entrepreneurs are doing to earn online.
I have only implemented the 1st of the 4 methods outlined below and it has already enabled me to quit my job.
And no, this does not include buying stocks, crypto, NFT, or any other gamble.
You will only see methods that are sustainable and can provide you with long-term financial benefits.
The following information consists of
- Skills that you require.
- Methods with which you can monetize those skills.
- Steps on how to apply those methods.
All of this is already proven to be successful and easily replicable.
You will not get to make $10k immediately, but this will enable you to get to that point through patience and consistency.
How to Earn $10k a Month
I am going to outline 5 marketable skills which are easily learnable along with how they can be applied to get you to your financial goals.
These are:
- Copywriting
- Graphic Design
- Email Marketing
- Content Writing & SEO
- Lead Generation
Doesn’t sound sexy I know.
But these skills are the most profitable yet simple to learn, and most come at no financial cost. Also, it’s the methods through which you apply these skills that will get you some cash flow.
Learn any one of those skills and you will do well, combine 2–3 of them and you will be unstoppable.
And no, I will not tell you to join Fiverr, Upwork, or any freelance site.
What Are the Methods?
4 different methods can be applied to each skill to monetize them. But you need to apply the first method before going for any of the rest.
They are:
1. Productized Services:
Productizing your service means selling your service for a fixed price every month within fixed parameters.
Here is an example of Content Writing & SEO:
Offer to write articles for companies on a subscription basis. Create different tiers that include:
- X articles per month
- Industry-specific research
- SEO Optimized
- Content Strategy
The same strategy can be applied to other skills as well.
2. eBooks
This may sound difficult but it’s not. It has never been easier to write your eBook and distribute it digitally to earn passive income 24/7.
All you need to do is write down your entire journey and outline how you went from your regular 9–5 to working for yourself.
State how you learned the skill, applied it, acquired clients, and how you charged them.
But who will buy these?
That answer is in Step 1 which we’ll get to after this.
3. Courses
Online courses are an easier and better way of getting you to your target goal. Like eBooks but the only difference is that all of it is now in video form.
You have probably taken several free and paid courses yourself, so you know that there is not much that goes into it.
Here is an excellent example of promoting and selling your course to make 6 figures.
People don’t hesitate to spend $1000 on a course if they believe it can help them make enough money to quit their jobs.
And you will only need 10 people a month to get to that 10k goal.
4. Coaching
By far the easiest method of getting to 10k and more is offering personalized coaching sessions.
One-on-one coaching sessions require less work than the other methods and pay more.
People charge up to $5000 to get face-to-face with the people whose journey they want to replicate.
The best part of this method is that the cost is high, and the volume is low.
But how will you apply all these methods?
Well, now we get to the fun bit. As Tom Cruise once said,
‘SHOW ME THE MONEY’
What are the Steps?
The journey starts with applying the first method and then gaining enough results and credibility to be able to apply the rest.
Here is your journey:
1. Build an Audience
The very first thing you need to do is build an audience online.
Why?
Because if you going to apply any of those methods, you need to have an already built audience that knows that you are good at what you do and are willing to hire you.
If you are learning any of those skills, create a Twitter and LinkedIn account and document your journey. Share what you have learned, helpful tips, and insights from articles and YouTube videos.
Network with people on these platforms, follow big accounts as well as those starting their journey like you.
Show your writing, your designs, what you have done so far in life, what you are doing, and most importantly, how you can provide value.
2. Cold Outreach
You have the skill.
You have the audience.
Now you need the client. There is only one tried and tested method and that is cold outreach. For this, you will have to:
- Follow several business social media accounts.
- Subscribe to their newsletters.
- Sign up on e-commerce sites.
- Click on Google Ads.
- Look at Twitter profiles.
What’s the point?
Analyze all their content.
The quality of their graphic design and copy, the format of their newsletter and email, what their blogs are like the banner on their Twitter pages.
If any of it has flaws, reach out to them through Twitter, email, or LinkedIn and offer to make a better version for free.
That’s right, for free.
Because you don’t want a few bucks from them, you want their testimonial. That will provide you with the credibility to attract more clients.
Of course, you will have to reach out to hundreds of them before getting a reply. But that is part of the process.
3. Create a website
You will require a website to promote your skills and display your testimonials.
This part will require you to spend some money on a domain and hosting.
But it is easy to make one with so many services out there. The ones I would recommend are Canva, Wix, and Squarespace.
Promote it on the platforms where you have built your audience and now wait for people to reach out to you.
4. Build an Email List
At this point, you are successfully productizing your service to numerous clients and are making good money.
The next step is to enhance that earning through the remaining methods. But first, you need to build an email list to whom you can offer those products to.
The easiest way to collect them is by offering something for free. It could be a webinar, an eBook, or a simple PDF of actionable advice.
This will get you plenty of email addresses and lead you to the next step.
5. Create a Landing Page
Now you craft an email that highlights the value and benefits the prospect can receive from your course, eBook, or coaching session.
That email will direct them to a landing page.
That page should consist of a proper design and effective copy. It is the point where the customer will decide if they want to make the purchase or not.
Cardd is an excellent tool for creating free landing pages and provides several templates as well.
Conclusion
The road to $10K Months is simple, not complex. Difficult, not easy.
It all starts with learning a skill and offering it as a service. If you successfully implement that, teach others through an eBook, Course, or Coaching.
