Making money in your general area can be challenging. There may need to be a bigger market or more people in your area.

Online side hustles may be the way to go if these are problems you can relate to.

Video Editing

Video editing is a significant emerging side hustle. Whether you want to edit TikToks or YouTube videos, there is a market for almost every type of editing.

This may take practice and experience so you may want to start with your own videos to get the hang of it. You can also use these videos to show the work you have done when asking content creators if you can edit their content.

After you get some experience you can message creators on social media asking to edit their videos and giving an example of your work in the message.

I would recommend starting off with smaller creators but moving up with more experience.

Editing Clips

Another side hustle in editing is to edit content creators’ videos, streams, or podcasts into clips for them. These clips can then go on social media like TikTok, Instagram Reels, or YouTube shorts.

This short-form content really helps creators as it can boost their content a lot since it is easier to grow on TikTok, YouTube shorts, and Instagram reels.

One way you can reach out is by messaging content creators on social media like Instagram.

Freelancing Websites

If you have a talent you would like to share with others and make money doing so you can sell classes on freelancing websites like Fivver and Squarespace.

You can sell your skills through classes on these websites or work for other businesses for a short period. Many people are bored at home and would like to learn a new skill.

You can take advantage of this by selling your skills.

Selling Old Stuff

I know this side hustle isn't profitable. However, you can still make money with it and maybe turn it profitable if some of your old stuff turned a profit.

You can sell anything in your house you don't use anymore that is worth something on places like eBay, Mercari, Offerup, Facebook marketplace, and many other sites.

That money earned from the sales can then be used to fund another side hustle or business without spending money out of your pockets. It's also an excellent way to clear your house of junk and make money doing so.
