For the sake of fun and the love of my pup, I started a YouTube channel a week ago. It wasn’t because I needed a new project but merely because I had too many adorable videos of my pooch and needed a platform to offload them.

I started his YouTube account and within 48 hours, his fluffy hair attracted nearly 4,000 views and 10 subscribers. The screenshot below is my proof:

Now I understand 4,000 views isn’t “viral,” however, it is substantial for a new channel where the star licks his butt in more than half of the videos.

So, where do I plan to take this channel in the future?

Absolutely, nowhere.

I love my dog. I started a blog about him, and now a YouTube channel.

Will I plan to monetize my pup? No.

If he cracks the necessary YouTube requirements to be monetized, will I turn on monetization? Absolutely.

In my mind, building a blog or YouTube channel around my dog is the definition of a passion project. It’s something I’ve been enjoying…
