With the start of 2022, let’s talk side hustles. This is not only a great way to generate some additional streams of income; this can also be the start of your journey on a new business!
This list will provide you with some vital information on where to start and cover side hustles worth your time. This list is also for anyone of any age; whether you’re still in high school or at a full-time job, these side hustles can be applied to your daily life. Let’s get started:
I’ve been reselling now for about 2 years and this is always my go to for when anyone asks me what the best side hustle is. This is one of the easiest side hustles to get into and one of the most scalable.
My account has written various articles about reselling, here are some of the most useful articles to get started:
Console Reselling…Why Have You Not Started?
The console reselling scene has not slowed down one bit since it’s inital release in November 2020. With constant…
Why Reselling is the best Side Hustle
I’ve written many many different side hustles for you guys to read. You guys obviously clicked on this article because…
Do note that you will be learning lots of new things when you get started with reselling, with hundreds of different niches, new software, new people, it is not a bad idea to take things slow.
Starting out with the basics is the best way to learn to get your foot in the door. Go through your closets, garage, etc. and look for items that you don’t use anymore and still work in decent condition. Head over to eBay.com, make an account, list your items for a reasonable price and wait for the sales to roll in!
“My wife and I make $2,000 to $3,000 in side income from [selling on eBay],” says Flores. “You can sell anything from collector’s items, to electronics, to doll clothes and even mason jars and vacuum bags. When you search for the item you want to resell to do pricing research, filter your search on items that already sold. Look at the prices that past items similar or exactly the same as yours sold for and use that as your base price for when you list your items.” — NBC NEWS
You’d be surprised to find how many random, unused items you have sitting in your closet that can be sold. After doing this for some time, you may have had some success, maybe not so much. Don’t fret. There is more:
There are many online groups/communities focused on reselling. These groups will be your primary source of information regarding new releases, what’s hot currently, and other ways to make money. These groups can come free; however, when looking for premium groups with the best information, you’re going to need to pay the price.
Here is a list of my favorite groups:
After looking around these groups, you’ll notice a pretty common theme. They are all sold out and decently pricey. Go ahead and follow them to keep up with restock information. Price wise, the information out of these groups will outweigh the initial fee to get in. If you spend the time to learn and research what they post/offer, you will easily make more than the cost of the monthly fee. Aside from that, these groups also offer a variety of other features, not just items to flip, covering price errors, deals, NFTs, and more.
Note: This is not a paid promotion from these groups, these are groups that I either have been a part of or have seen substantial work from their team to showcase how useful their group truly is.
Alright, you look through this and think that you are a bit too inexperienced and would like to start with something less costly, here are some alternatives that are free:
Mama Deals and The Freebie Guy are popular Telegram based groups that push out a ton of information mostly centered around deals that you can flip as well as information covering important new flips and restocks of what’s currently hot. The free groups list is more similar in the style of the paid groups above, these groups have a better sense of a community, and better for beginners as there are support teams to answer your questions. These groups are usually free for a few months, where they eventually will end up going to become a paid group. Take advantage of what they have to offer as a free group, and if you like what they are doing, it might be worth staying!
Please remember that there are hundreds of different niches within reselling.
Learning the basics of reselling allows you to jump into many different niches at once, fast-forwarding your learning curve for any market. With the information covered by the groups I mentioned above, those will be the most low-risk one’s and are generally researched pretty heavily beforehand. Keep an open mind when starting and play around with it! Don’t be afraid to ask questions.
2. Turo Car Rentals
“Over the last 4 months, my husband and I have managed to leverage underutilized cars in our driveway and the Turo platform to get a free Tesla Model S for our day-to-day driving.” — SideHustleNation
This is a new side hustle that is becoming more and more popular. If you are not familiar with Turo, it’s essentially like the Airbnb of cars. I’ve personally used Turo and have to say that they have done an amazing job on making it a very seem-less and hassle-free process. Although this is not a side hustle I can give first-hand experience on, it is something that I will be looking into starting within the next few months.
Essentially, you’re going to buy a cheap pre-owned car or go lease a newer car. After doing some research on your location, the car’s overall statistics, and other factors, you can go ahead and list your car on Turo and wait for the booking to come in! Your goal is to work out an average monthly revenue to outweigh the monthly cost of the car and that can be done pretty easily.
These two sites are extremely useful for you when getting started, providing a lot of up to date information to guide you in the right direction. Keep these in mind when doing your research, they are extremely useful.
Here are some useful articles and videos that I have watched that I thought were very well made:
This side hustle is a bit more lucrative, involving a higher starting capital as well as taking in a lot more risk. The rewards of starting this business can be extremely high. That being said, I cannot emphasize enough on how important it is to do your research! This is not something you just want to half-ass, putting in the time before-hand will be well worth it, trust me.
How can I talk about side hustles in 2022 and not mention NFTs? Not going to go super in depth in this video about them, but will provide a general guidance on where to get started and such. NFTs are changing peoples lives and if you think that the “hype wave” has passed, you are dead wrong. This is just the start of NFTs.
Similarly to Turo, there is a bit more risk and will take some time to learn. The ROI on many projects are simply insane, and the best part about it is that there are hundreds of projects coming out every day — you just need to know which ones are the good ones. Undoubtedly the most risky out of the 3 side hustles, but definitely has the highest potential on crazy returns. All you need is a very quality and safe flips and you’re start compounding your wallet balance like you’ve never seen before.
Being a very complex topic, I’ll going to provide some basic guidance and then include some other beginner friendly videos that will start you in the right direction.
Useful Beginner Starting Guides:
Next let’s stray a little off topic and talk about VEVE. VEVE is a great platform which millions of users that I feel like is a good starting point for beginners. In the current state, VEVE is all the hype, releases are not the easiest to get, but if you’re lucky it’s almost like you struck gold.

Information and Groups
Next, I want to talk about YouTube. With NFTs being such a popular topic, more and more YouTubers are beginning to talk about it. Because of this, there are many YouTubers that cover new trends, projects, etc. becoming a really good news outlet for new NFT information. Just like with reselling, there are many groups focused around NFTs as well. These groups are sometimes known as “Alpha” groups where they post projects they think are worthwhile to buy and a community where you can chat, ask questions, and learn more about NFTs. This is a lot more beneficial for those that already have a decent understanding of the NFT game, with information posted almost daily, not only is it the best source of information for NFTs, the community factor is also great. Aside from groups, I would say Twitter is where all the NFT heads are right now and there is a lot of information floating around that space.
YouTube Channels I think are very informational:
Best Discord Based Groups That Cover NFTs:
- Note: I am not affiliated with any of these groups/individuals
I hope this gave you more insight into how to get started within NFTs. Again, it is not a race. Take your time to learn and DYOR (do your own research), there is a lot more risk in taking part in many projects than you think. Try not to be naive and ask questions.
Hope you found some use out of the information in this article. I know this was pretty jammed packed, if you have any questions always feel free to DM on Twitter: @TLX928 and I’ll be happy to answer any looming questions you had from this article!
