When I ask this question then I will get different-different answers. When I started Blogging on Medium itself then I hadn’t any clue that Writing will become my source of income one day.
I know what is my worth! I know about my writing skills! I don’t compare my charges to professional writers because I know they are better than me!
I’m gonna share some tips I’m sure will be helpful for your Blogging career.
Choose a Platform
First ask yourself, Why do you want to start a Blog? What does your reader want? How can you solve his/her problem? If you know the answers to these questions then you can start blogging.
Choose the right platform etc. Medium, Wix, WordPress, Quora, etc., and start writing on your chosen platform.
Solve the pain points of your target audience through your blog and when a reader comes to your blog for his/her problems and he/she will get answers to his/her questions then he will recommend your blog to his/her community, by this, you will become a High-paid blogger.
Choose a Niche
I think every blogger, including me, gets stuck on this one thing before starting a Blog. But it’s not as difficult as we consider it to be. You can choose a niche in which you‘ve great expertise, and which topic you like the most.
Taking all these things into account, choose your Niche and start making content on your Niche. I love traveling, and I am passionate about traveling, so I’ve made my Blog on Traveling Niche. When I write about traveling, I never get bored.
I feel a great kind of enthusiasm when I write on this particular topic. I’ve been traveling since my childhood, so I thought why shouldn’t I jot down my Traveling memories on one platform that’s why I chose Blogging to write on my favorite Niche.
Work on Flaws
I have flaws that I’m working on. And I know one thing which is Practice! Practice! and Practice! With a lot of Practice, every day, you will become a master in writing! Because Writing wants to practice! A lot of Practice!
And this can be improved only on a daily basis. To be a high-paid Blogger just keep in mind a simple funda, that is keep writing. Gradually, your writing skills will improve and no one can stop to be a successful blogger.
Consume/Reading Content
Consume a lot of stuff from other creators who you do follow. Engage with their posts and make powerful comments on their posts. And I know, it’s not hard.
LinkedIn and Medium are the best options to connect with like-minded people. Here you can meet those creators who are in your Niche. Every day, creators post a lot of Articles. You can check them out and do work according to their guidelines. Consume content as much as you can.
And I believe this quote because How can you write a long-form article? I know, the answer is — reading.
Reading books, articles, blogs, etc. The more you read, the more your writing will improve and after some time, You will become a high-paid Blogger.
Don’t Blindly Trust So-Called Gurus
As we see on different platforms e.g. Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, etc. many gurus are claiming that buy their courses and you will get success in just 30 days, 60 days, or 90 days.
Can you believe all of them? Initially, I used to believe in them and consume their content but what happened?
My mind was sucked up! I was failing. I even had to think about writing even a single sentence. I was not been able to perform well in my Freelance Writing. And guess what happened? I had to lose my job.
Yes! I lost my Job in September last year.
They say, left your job and join us. Pals, never ever do this.
Let me tell you one thing, First think before buying a course. Don’t trust blindly everyone.
You will just lose your concentration, nothing else. Start with one or two platforms as I did. Whatever platform you like e.g.LinkedIn, Medium, Instagram, and Twitter.
You just scribble your thoughts and trust me, gradually you can reach the top as you’d imagined.
Make a Proper Strategy
Before jotting down your thoughts, be clear about the strategy. Outline the topic on which you want to write, and chunk the long article into short sentences.
Use sub-headings in your post or article, as a reader doesn’t want to read a boring article without headings. Listicles do well in an article. Use proper images and don’t forget to give attributes to images.
Summing Up
So Pals, before I wrap up, I want to say, do follow your passion, if you love writing. One can make enough money to survive in this world through writing.
But still, I would like to say one thing, If you have a nice career in another stream and still writing is your passion then you shouldn’t leave your job before you make enough money through writing.
Because you have to pay your bills and take care of your family and without making money you can’t do this.
