Sharon Stone is famous for her first life as a globally renowned actress but during the hiatus of the pandemic she finished her memoir, The Beauty of Living Twice, published 2021. She reflects on her life before and after suffering a near-fatal, life-changing stroke in 2001 that left her with disabilities and dramatically changed her career trajectory. She was eventually able to see past the trauma, find positives, and forge a new path for herself.

She found more time to devote to her charity work and activism, campaigning for peace, working with people with HIV and AIDS, and raising funds to make education available and accessible for the underprivileged of the world. Having painted since her school days, then studying art and literature at university before her acting took over, it was natural for her to turn to art for therapeutic purposes. It soon became a consuming passion that drew her back to the studio for “four to seventeen hours a day.”

Such dedication resulted in Shedding, her first solo exhibition earlier this year, hosted at the Allouche Gallery in Los Angeles. Now, across on the East Coast, Sharon Stone: Welcome to My Garden is currently on show in the C. Parker Gallery in Greenwich, Connecticut.
