Mark Gump, a real estate developer from Manhattan, was overcome with shock and dismay after receiving a $1000 invoice from his web developer, Thomas.
Satisfied with his slick new website — but deeply hurt by Thomas’ absurd financial request — Mark fired off a furious batch of texts before ending their professional relationship.
No idiot, Gump quickly disabused himself of his mistaken definition of “freelance”, before taking to Craigslist to hire someone with a better attitude.
Some say that to this day, Gump lurks Craigslist, messaging developers late into the night, trying to find his mythical free freelancer once and for all……
