Sharing allows us to inspire others and be inspired by them. I love scrolling through Reddit exploring cool projects, browsing HackerNews and seeing other developers ship their projects! The projects I see inspire me to stop procrastinating and start building (can’t we all relate).

But how can we share our projects if we don’t have an audience?

Well, we’re here to provide you with an audience to share the amazing projects you’ve built over the past year. Introducing Local Hack Day: Share!

It’s time to show the world what you’ve made. Local Hack Day: Share is a global demo day where you will get the chance to showcase the project you made. You’ll also be able to share the project on a global Devpost and potentially receive awards for the wonderful you’ve done. You’ll also be able to participate in some enticing giveaways, receive freebies and learn new skills in world-class workshops.

With the unfortunate challenge of COVID-19, the event has been moved online and will take place in a Discord server. Invites for the server will be sent out once ready. We don’t want to focus on the negative sides of this, we see this as a great opportunity to reach beyond borders and open this up to so many more young makers. Any aged 13 to 18 in an ASEAN country can participate in this event.

Local Hack Day: Share (South East Asia) is co-hosted by The Singapore STEM Club and Major League Hacking with the kind support of Microsoft and Github Education. It will take place on the 11th of April 2020 from 9:30 AM to 9:00 PM (GMT +8). You can sign up by clicking here.
