What you call invasive I call innovative. Google Play Services is the one thing that I really enjoy about Android.

I also can’t mod my phone as Verizon )my telecom) and Motorola have really locked down the bootloader. I miss hacking at my phone.

Having my calendar, my email, Google Now, play so well is worth the exchange of my personal data to Google.

I don’t have a deep distrust for Google. While they have a fiduciary responsibility to share holders they seem to hold on to a social mission as well.
