Write for The Slowdown
You look like you’ve got a great idea. Here’s how to pitch us.
Who we are
The Slowdown is a publication on Medium that features thoughtful journalism about technology, culture, and creativity — and the weird and wonderful ways they intersect. Stories about the future of work, tech for social good, internet culture, media trends, design, and creative process are right in our wheelhouse.
Our publication is owned by Slalom, a global consulting firm focused on strategy, technology, and business transformation. But we are all about original reporting and strong points of view — editorial, not advertorial. Dig the art work? It’s all lovingly designed by our in-house creative team.
What we want from you, the writer
We’re looking for fresh voices to shape our publication. We love smart critiques paired with optimistic solutions. If you can tell a great story that helps readers learn something, rethink a trend, or connect dots in a new way, we should talk. Stories with original research are preferred, though we also welcome quirky, personal pieces.
