Quicken Inc. was named Best Personal Finance Company in the sixth annual FinTech Breakthrough Awards, which recognize breakthrough companies and products in the global financial services and technology industry. Last year, Quicken’s personal finance app Simplifi was named Best Personal Finance Product in the awards.

Quicken has been in the market for 30 years and seen17 million customers rely on its products, which are designed to give users a holistic look at their finances. There are currently two million active users managing managing $2.7 trillion with Quicken’s product suite, which includes Quicken Starter Edition; the most popular Quicken Deluxe; Quicken Premier for investors; and Quicken Home & Business.

“Our team is dedicated to giving our customers the tools they need to confidently take control of their finances, and in the past few years, we’ve modernized the business and heavily invested in our family of products,” said Quicken CEO Eric Dunn. “This award serves as a testament to the work of the entire team at Quicken. We’re continuing to listen to the needs of our customers and enhance our personal financial management offerings.”

That focus on customer financial well-being saw an increase in average customer lifespan and annual sales volumes over the last years, with fintech private equity firm Aquiline Capital Partners acquiring a majority stake in 2021, helping Quicken with further advancements in personal financial management.

Simplifi by Quicken, a customizable web and mobile app, was added in 2020 as the newest addition. Its dashboard connects to 14,000 financial institutions to give real-time, consolidated views of bank accounts, loans, credit cards and investments.

“After another round of testing nearly a dozen apps, we continue to recommend Simplifi by Quicken as the easiest, most comprehensive way to both see where your money is going and plan for future expenses.”

Last year, Simplifi was named best budgeting app by The New York Times Wirecutter for a second year in a row.
