‘The Road Not Taken’ is not really that scary
I recently watched a video animation published by Ted-Ed.
This video illustrates a classic poem about the dilemma of making unpopular choices, ‘The Road Not Taken’ by Robert Frost.
The main scene of the poem is that the protagonist has chosen a route that is not really popular and there is very little certainty about where it leads to before making the decision of choosing a path.
The protagonist doesn’t mention anything about how good and how drastic would taking a less-traveled-by decision would take because he/she has no idea how it might have been to travel the other road. But I have a slightly different take on this.
I am a firm believer of the Multiverse Theory.
For those who don’t know, the Multiverse Theory in layman terms states that every moment in time when a decision is to be made between two choices, there exist two different universes where each of the choices is multiplexed on.
This means that even if you choose a particular path, there will always exist a different universe where a clone of your body is able to experience what it would be like to take the road that you didn’t.
And that makes me happy.
