Welcome to The ‘Smaller’ Medium
Hello, welcome to this ‘small’ corner on Medium, a small directory for publications that feature poetry, fiction, and satire on the platform. Our story started with one post by Anna Now, aptly titled The “Smaller” Medium, which was a call for stories to be recognised outside all the other writings that seemed to have more favor on Medium.
So we built this corner for you to explore, myself and a group of passionate editors dedicated to make it easier for you to navigate these murky waters.
We’ll be featuring posts that include the best writings selected by the diverse publication owners. That will also include our own reviews based on how much we explore these places. The end result should be one publication for all fiction, poetry, satire publications, presented to give you the best and most-informed experience.
It should be noted that all of the editors volunteered to make this place possible. It all came from a deep passion of having one place where all these writings can come together as one, mostly inspired by the changes seen by Anna, with the suggestion of keeping this community alive.
But of course this place won’t work without your hand. In the spirit of union, we ask for your help to build The Smaller Medium, letting us know if you have a publication that doesn’t have the exposure it deserves or if your favorite publication should be included. Tweet or share on Facebook so other people can be aware and know of this place.
We’ll be working closely with publication owners, even with the little time we have with other commitments that bid our time, to make the experience as smooth and intuitive as possible. If at all you might have some questions, let us know by responding to this post below.
