Sometimes, the best way to de-stress is to get away from it all. So, as a spur-of-the-moment situation, Maya and I escaped to a hotel outside the city where we both worked. It was badly needed for us after the last couple of months of just getting destroyed at work. And not in the way either of us wanted.
On our first day of meeting, we hit it off. Within a month, we were best friends. Within half a year, we both admitted that there was a spark of some sort. Work was always hectic, but it was never a problem when we worked together as well as we did.
Then one day after work, we both end up at a bar for a cheeky drink. With how crowded the bar was, we stayed for that one drink before I walked her home. Within seconds, we were at the door to her apartment. I smiled and kissed her on the cheek, then began to turn back towards the elevator.
