MEN EMPOWERMENT

I hereby announce that this article will make you reflect on the reasons why men’s mindset need more empowerment than women:

We all heard, read, shocked but not were surprised about Hathras’ case. It was about how equality, woman safety, human rights were all neglected at once, or should I say once again.

My intention with this article is to rebrand the problem & give it a try to make you see the right side of the problem. What we do understand that man is a culprit when a woman gets raped, what we don’t understand that men should be the only culprit. So everything that needs to be changed should be on their part rather than ours.

When a brutal incident like this takes place, how many of the boys talk about it.

How many of the brothers ask their sister what the first time when she was catcalled was.

How many of the boyfriend ask their girlfriend what’s the thing that makes them most uncomfortable.

How many of the husbands ask their wife when was the first time they were touched inappropriately.

How many incidents will it take for a guy to stop a guy doing “laundo wali batein”.

They saw our legs; we stopped wearing skirts.

Ø They saw our cleavage, we stopped wearing short dresses.

Ø They saw us speaking our minds, we stopped talking.

Ø They saw us being emotional, we stopped taking offence.

Now you can label this as feminist thinking, but logically if rape happens then, you should be the first person to be concerned about it cause this shows a lack of emotional quotient in men. When people say girls are mature, they are wrong; we are not mature, we are just more understanding and carry relatively a higher level of EQ.

According to research, rapists carry a mentality of dominance, but you can see this dominating characteristic often at your own house.

Every time a girl makes sure her bra strap is not peeking outside when their father can roam around in a vest.

Whenever a girl is told how to behave, how to talk, how to cook, and so on when a girl is judged & put inside a box.

So when anyone comes around to have a discussion about gender equality or diss about why girls are lagging, our subconscious mind is constantly alert on these fears. When I think about my dream of going out, exploring myself, and all those fantastic ideas that a free mind can easily think of, my subconscious mind gets alert about the terrifying thought-” WHAT IF I COULDN’T COME OUT ALIVE.’’

Possible solutions or practices which we can adopt to make men more empathetic and to increase their understanding level when it comes to girls:-

1. ACCEPTANCE OF MALE EGO

2. COMMUNICATION OF FEARS

3. STOP DOING ‘’LAUNDO VALI BATEIN’’

4. COMPLIMENTING IN A BETTER WAY- “She is looking hot, sexy, gorgeous; I’ll take it. Oh my god! Look at her boobs. PLEASE DON’T, THAT’LL MAKE ME UNCOMFORTABLE.’’

5. SEX EDUCATION

6. GIRLS STOP CHANGING

7. BOYS START CHANGING

Last but not least, I have nothing against men, but it’s high time you understand that it’s your shit and you need to get it together.

YOU RAPING ME IS NOT MY PROBLEM, ITS YOURS.
