The later you join..

When blogs first came out it was a lot easier to build an audience than it is today.
When Twitter first came out it was a lot easier to build a following than it is today.
When Medium first came out it was a lot easier to get followers than it is today.
It is and always will be the same thing.
The earlier you join, the more risk you’re willing to take, the bigger the potential outcome.
The later you join, the smaller the risk you’re willing to take, the smaller the potential outcome.
Unfortunately, joining early isn’t a guarantee for success either. It simply increases the odds.
And because there’s no guarantee for anything, we tend to join the game late.
And buying into a game that has already started a while ago will either not work anymore or will cost you a hell lot more than it would have cost you to join the game early on.
So don’t be surprised if you join the game late and it doesn’t work anymore.
