What no one tells you about their book lists

I’m sure you’ve been wondering this many times already. I’ve been wondering this many times in the past, as well..
Why the hell are there so many people and websites out there recommending books? Basically all the time.
And every day I come across a new list of „must read“ books.
And you know what. The (only) reason why these lists are so popular, the reason why so many people (including me) create „best of“ book lists is very simple.
Because every time someone clicks on a link on one of these lists and buys one of the books from one of these lists, the person who created that list will make money.
Not a hell lot of money. Just a small commission between 4–10%.
Look. Most of these lists include Amazon affiliate links.
And that’s what no one tells you about their book lists. Well, actually sometimes they do. Somewhere on their websites. In case they have a website.
