Few days back, we published our first list for BUIDLers titled 55 BUIDLers Driving the Decentralization Movement Forward (September 2018)which recognised the individuals who are leading #BUIDL revolution in the Cryptosphere.

Today, we sit down and look at the top 20 upcoming talents in the space because as they say,

Young people are the ones who make history. They just get recognised later.

Avthar Sewrathan

Avthar Sewarathan is the Founder and CEO of Afari, a decentralized social network that puts people in control of their privacy and data and rewards them for creating quality content.

Arvind started Afari in early 2018, while in his senior year at Princeton. Before beginning to work on Afari full time, Avthar turned down offers from several software giants and blockchain startups.

Justin Hunter

Justin Hunter is the Founder of Graphite Docs, a decentralized and encrypted replacement for Google’s G-Suite. The product is built on Blockstack and is powered by the Bitcoin Blockchain.

This project stemmed from the increasing control companies place on user data. At any given moment, Google can remove access to every single one of the documents you write and store with them. That’s unacceptable. Additionally, government censorship, which has always been around, seems to be growing more prevalent. Graphite has set out to change this current structure by default.

Prabhaav

Prabhaav is the Founder of Stealthy, a decentralized, end to end encrypted, communication protocol built with security & privacy in mind.

Stealthy dAPP integrations are something to watch out for in the coming months. With Stealthy, dApp partners get access to the social graph of Stealthy and other dApp partners immediately. This allows a larger audience for the dApps without the headaches of rebuilding the wheel each time.

Graeme and Chris Min from Dharma Protocol

Nominated by Nadav Hollander himself, Graeme and Chris Min are the two folks who are doing the most heavy lifting in building Dharma, a platform for building borderless lending products using programmable, tokenized debt.

At Dharma, Nadav Hollander and his team are seeking to build a common, secure infrastructural layer on top of which lending applications of any type can be easily built and monetized.

Pedro Gomes

Pedro Gomes is the founder of Wallet Connect Organisation which is building an open source standard to connect desktop Dapps to mobile wallets.

WalletConnect connects your desktop Dapps to mobile Wallets using end-to-end encryption by scanning a QR code thus opening up a whole world of Dapps that were once only available to Metamask. The user can interact with any Dapp without comprising their private keys and will be notified to sign any transaction requests on their mobile.

Jin Chung, Mike Demarais and Chris Baroni from Balance

Nominated by Richard Burton himself, Jin, Mike and Chris are doing groundbreaking work in the creation of Balance.io.

Balance Manager is an interface that connects to MetaMask, Ledger and Trezor, allowing you to view and send your ERC-20 tokens. The project is one of most talked about projects in the CryptoSphere.

Nitika and Ish from GovBlocks

Nitika Goel and Ish Goel are one of first few Blockchain Developers from India. They are the instrumental team behind GovBlocks, an open, permissionless protocol for decentralized governance powered by curation networks, enabling adaptability, self-sustainability and easy management of blockchain networks.

Along with this, they are working on building Nexus, an Ethereum Blockchain powered platform where people can share risk together without the need for an insurance company.

Anton Bukov

Anton Bukov is a Senior iOS, С++ and Blockchain Developer with over 15 years of developer experience. Currently, he is serving as the Chief Blockchain Engineer at MultiToken, a protocol enabling anyone to easily create globally distributed crypto-funds.

Along with this, he is also an active Open Source Developer and an independent iOS developers having launched several apps on the App Store.

Nominated by Riccardo Spagni himself, Lee Clagett is one of the developers involved with Monero Project and has been instrumental in helping Monero reach its current status in the Cryptocurrency Space.

He is an alumnus of Virginia Tech with Bachelors in Computer Science.
