Our federal courts are proving to be ineffective at reining in President Trump’s fascism. Republicans in Congress are galloping right along with their Dear Leader toward a future in which they, too, will be thrown under the bus. And the MAGA crowd idolizes a man who stinks so badly that he may actually be shitting his pants, as the rumors have it.
How can we stop this? How can we start once again down a path toward democracy?
Voting.
Well, maybe. If our votes are counted.
Trump signed an executive order a few weeks ago titled “Preserving and Protecting the Integrity of American Elections.” This order is designed to take away our voting rights.
We will need proof of citizenship to vote
The executive order requires voters to submit one of the following to their election offices to prove citizenship and be able to vote:
