Money Is More Open-Minded Than an Inebriated Bohemian Naturist
Even one who is high on tequila, hash and love
“Money doesn’t care what you wear, if you swear or how you comb your hair.”
— Malky McEwan
Money doesn’t trouble over where you are in the world. Money isn’t anxious about what religion, gender, race, age or sexual orientation you are. It’s odd how any one of these can spark distaste in some people.
It’s even odder what burdens some people.
My old boss used to abhor tattoos. Anyone sporting skin art held a lowly place in his esteem. Now, he works at a premier league football club and hobnobs with all these rich, tattooed wonderkids and doesn’t give a damn.
It’s okay to have a skull and crossbones tattooed on the side of your neck if you can kick a ball into a net and drive a Ferrari. Apparently.
“Thanks to money, even people who don’t know each other and don’t trust each other can nevertheless cooperate. Millions of strangers cooperate effectively in trade and industry.”
— Yuval Noah Harari, Sapiens
