Former Nikola CEO Trevor Milton posted the news himself on X.

Milton was preparing to spend four years in federal prison and was facing restitution to the shareholders of $660,800,000 and compensation of $15,174,698 to the victim of his wire fraud.
With Trump’s pardon, all of that is wiped away.
One rule for poor people and another for those who can afford to donate large sums of money to Trump.
Following Milton’s sentencing (not before), he and his wife made significant political donations to Trump and his allies. He was deeply in trouble until he pumped $900,000 into the Trump 47 Committee (Oct 2024) and $750,000 into RFK Jr’s MAHA political action committee.
It was the first time Milton made six-figure political contributions.
