Looking for something a bit meatier than the average novel to wrap your mind around? Want to learn a little history or science as you enjoy a nearly unbelievable story?

Do you think non-fiction is dry compared to a novel? These titles will prove that wrong.

I find little else as satisfying as reading a well-researched and witty work of non-fiction and these 3 books provide all of that and some interesting facts as well.

“Say Nothing” by Patrick Radden Keefe

This mystery of a missing mother takes place in Northern Ireland in 1972. Written by Patrick Radden Keefe, a journalist and author, this story is haunting, shrouded in the tumultuous history of the region.

If you are like me, you will want to consume it completely in one sitting. You will find yourself checking to be sure it is non-fiction and like my son who read it after me, exclaiming, “I can’t believe this is real!” prompting our trip to Ireland to see for ourselves. You can read more about that here:
