Nowadays it is increasingly difficult to attract talent because generations are increasingly demanding and winning them over is a very challenging task. In this sense, there are more and more companies advertising job offers on their social networks, therefore taking advantage of the audience and the reach of their account.

At a time when TikTok leads the audiences of social networks and the social network itself is ruled by the motto “If it’s very good, it’s good. If it’s very bad, it’s good,” this social network intends to keep innovating and surprising… this time, TikTok wants to try to be the new LinkedIn of generation Z, bridging the gap between young people and the labour market. But in what way? The pilot program is called “TikTok Resumes,” which is currently being tested in the USA and CVs are sent in video format.

TikTok has already conquered the youngest generation: more than half its users are under 24 years old. For this reason, the social network that, until now, focused on content creation video wants to reach the next level. It will become a “kind of LinkedIn” for these young people, bridging the gap between them and the labour market, without losing its essence — videos. The idea calls for a lot of creativity and enthusiasm, much more interesting and captivating than boring old CVs.

Recruiters can post job offers on the website created by the social network and interested users can apply for the position by sending a video in which they present, in a fun and creative way, their skills and experience, using the hashtag #TikTokResumes. In addition, TikTok users have used the platform as a tool to share current vacancies and provide tips for job interviews or resume building.

Since the platform is the most authentic source of organic and original content with creativity screaming through, will it be the best place to recruit bold and fresh minds? Can you see yourself recording a creative, out of the box, and fun video explaining why you must be the chosen one? This new feature is definitely something we are looking forward to TikTok rolling out all around the globe soon.
