If you have a smart speaker or smart assistant, you can listen to news headlines from the Toronto Star.

Google Assistant

You can have Google Assistant read you related articles from The Toronto Star if you have a Google Home Mini smart speaker.

Whenever you ask Google to read news on a topic that has a result from The Toronto Star, Google will read the headline and article summary.

In addition, Google will send links to five related articles to your Google Assistant app where you can read the full article either in the Star app or mobile website.

Amazon Alexa

To get the latest headlines from the Toronto Star on an Alexa-enabled device, simply say “Alexa, enable The Toronto Star” and The Toronto Star skill will be added to your Alexa.

To activate the skill, ask “Alexa, what’s my Flash Briefing?” and the top five headlines will be read to you from your selected news channels.
