Meg & Sam —

After completing my long drive from Burlington, VA to Pittsburgh, PA, I was excited to get to sit down with you both for a meal.

I’m infinitely thankful for the sheer size of our country, and the fact that I know friendly faces in every corner of it. Getting to hang out with family that I rarely get to see makes the experience of exploring the country all the more rewarding.

Cousins, first and second

And of course getting to meet your boys, Sam, for the first time in more than just passing was awesome. They are supremely cute, and seemingly more than a handful. As it may be some time before I get to check in on them again, I’m looking forward to the leaps and bounds they cover. Their imaginations seem limitless and of course I expect great things!

As my journey winds down, I’m glad to pick up tips, advice, pros, and cons of what you two experience and like and dislike in the work world. I’m fast approaching my return from professional retirement, and am looking forward to finding work that is meaningful to me.

Yours —

IAN
