Back in school, students are made to attend workshops that help them in time management, increasing productivity etc. I remembered attending Adam Khoo’s workshop back in middle & high school.

There are many workshops available, but here are the two catered perfectly for the clueless (or not) founders!

1. Design Thinking Workshops

These workshops are structured to depict a scenario where a group of customers face a problem. Participants will be required to role play as startups and customers.

As startups, they will try to understand the needs of their customers. Then, they will explore feasible solutions using the technologies and resources they have on hand.

Meanwhile, as customers, they’ll try to condemn the product and throw as much ruckus as possible.

Through monitoring and feedback, the startups will adjust their previous solutions and come up with one that’s to the customers’ satisfaction!

2. Lean Startup

Just as its name suggests, you start up lean. First, create a minimum viable product (MVP) targeted to solve a problem. Lean startup is all about formulating the right product (the MVP), before diving to product development.

By “right product”, it refers to a brand your consumers want and are willing to pay for. I mean, duh, your customer got to want your product. And as an entrepreneur, you would definitely want a product you can profit from.

Once your “right product” is defined, it will be easier to improve on the prototype for the push to mass production.

Can’t wait to attend one of these workshops? It’s your lucky day! The Startup Buddy will be hosting a Design Thinking Workshop on 23rd August 2018.
