Weekend Fun with family
“Singapore is so small, there’s nothing fun for us to do except to watch a movie in the cinema.”
Is that you every weekend, stressing out on what to do with your family? Today’s post is all about fun things to do in Singapore!
1. Kidzania
At Kidzania, kids are the “working adults”. They get to experience different occupations and be anyone they want to be! (I wish there was KidZania back in my time.) It’s a win-win situation for parents! Your kids get entertained and educated, while you can sit back and relax at the parents’ lounge.
2. Pulau Ubin
Ubin is a good ‘getaway’ from the urban Singapore. Reception isn’t great there, so that means you can focus on the natural beauty. There’s a conserved Chinese Kampung House that you can explore and get a feel of what the living situation was like for our parents or grandparents. You can also take a walk or cycle around, look out for monkeys and wild boars though!
Once you’re done, fill up your tummy at the seafood restaurants!
3. Parks
Be it water parks or land parks, they’re all fun places for families! In the larger parks like East Coast Park and West Coast Park, they have huge playgrounds for children to play to their hearts’ content. Needless to say, water parks like Adventure Cove have giant slides to give an adrenaline rush, and also non-thrilling rides suitable for younger children or the faint-hearted.
