The Problem

It is fair to say that construction has not changed much over the past hundreds of years. Most things are still done manually so the speed and quality of construction projects depend upon skilled labor, which is scarce. This is one of the biggest problems facing home builders and construction companies as they look to increase productivity to meet the growing demand for new housing worldwide.

What The Company Does

Apis Cor applies additive manufacturing to build houses robotically. Apis Cor’s unique robotic arm distributes a concrete mortar of the desired building shape in a matter of days. This allows home builders to build houses faster, cheaper, with predictable lead time and budget and with better and consistent quality due to less reliance on labor.

Business Model

The team plans to make money by selling and renting their robots and proprietary 3D printing material.
