The platform has all the needed features out of he box for creators and their community to have live interactive discussions over audio. Space is for creators who want to set up trusted knowledge-focused communities and may want to monetize.
Market
In the United States alone, there are 50M content creators, 2M of which are creating non-video content. Clubhouse Audio and Chalk Audio are competitors but Space differs by offering content and community ownership and provides a focus on knowledge share communities versus social networking.
Business Model
Space charges $39 per space that enables content monetization. The team does not take any cut of the profit generated by the content creator.
Traction
Currently, the platform has 950 active users each month after their official launch in September. They are also a part of the Launch accelerator program.
Founding Team Background
Space is led by co-founders Zeeshan Sheikh and Brayson Ware. Zeeshan brings a wealth of e-commerce and collaboration systems experience from his previous role at Everbridge and the launch of his custom menswear company, Blanklabel. Brayson is a versatile product designer, with extensive experience in marketplaces and social media.
