The Problem

With the onset of COVID-19 preventing access to routine beauty and cosmetic services, there has been a growing need for a platform that provides these services in a convenient onsite location while minimizing health risks to customers.

What The Company Does

Tunsure is a tech-enabled service that operates within corporate offices and apartment complexes to provide beauty and wellness perks. Customers can use their SaaS platform to schedule appointments for haircuts and styling within their office or apartment complex. Their services include cashless transactions, structured schedules for clients, and robust reporting for site managers.

Market

It is estimated that the cosmetic market in the U.S. is around $60B. Tunsure’s direct competitors are Trim.co and Shortcut but they differentiate themselves by utilizing a B2B model that allows them to directly contract with corporations, residential properties, retirement homes, etc.

Business Model

Tunsure offers multiple contract options for the properties that they serve. The company or property can either subsidize some of the cost of the services, pay for a subscription model that pays for the whole service at a monthly rate, or require the employee or resident to pay for the entire service themselves.

Traction

Like many other companies, Tunsure hit a bumpy road during COVID-19 but was still able to land contracts in the assisted living and retirement home space. Their largest contract currently is Marian Manor in South Boston that has 152 residents being serviced.

Founding Team Background

Tunsure was co-founded by siblings Devinn and Demetri Harrison. Devinn serves as the team’s CEO and has an extensive background in business, finance, and administration. Demetri focuses on the technological aspects of the company and has a solid background in developing applications and cloud infrastructure.

What They Need Help With

Tunsure is currently in growth mode and looking to obtain partnerships in the corporate and residential property space. Connect with The Tunsure Team.
