The Distracted Coder


Atul was hungry. Starving actually. With each passing day his Levi’s hung off his hips a little looser. His cheekbones grew sharper. He was past the point of cravings. His body knew the hunger pangs would do it no good.

Ahead of him, a dull black screen. The same black screen that has made many men’s dreams come true and broken even more.

Atul placed the straw to his lips, the sweet Diet Soda invigorating the fraction of the young man left in him. At 23, he knew what was important and it was not the idle plate sitting next to him.

Atul started to code.
