Reflection & What I’ve been up to

--

In a blink of an eye, my book — The Startup’s Guide to Customer Success — is almost 6 months old. It’s been a while, so I wanted to revitalize this blog and share some of my learnings and exciting news.

I took some time to celebrate. From a surprise book launch party in San Francisco to a formal one at Boston, it was incredibly humbling to see everyone’s support and watch my book get #1 Amazon Best Seller and #1 Amazon New Release in its first week.

I took some time to reflect and execute. I learned so much from so many amazing people by creating my book and I started implementing things that I learned to my day to day work and the customers that I serve.

I took some time to help others. From new Heads of Customer Success to budding entrepreneurs to Customer Success recruiters to CEOs to seasoned product managers to marketing gurus, it was great to mentor and bounce ideas around with them to help them better champion the customer at their companies.

I took some time to join forces. What struck me the most throughout the last 6 months is the raw passion that people have for customer success. This is real folks — and we ain’t going anywhere soon. The business atmosphere is electric and I can’t wait to help grow the industry even more. Recently, I went on a podcast and featured in blogs (see a list on my website) and soon I’ll be speaking at a large conference.

It’s been an incredible six months and looking forward to what’s to come. In the coming weeks, I hope to share more of my customer success journey here with you so that we can all champion the customer more every day.
