How Would You Build Your Salad?
Go crazy with this! You can put anything in it.
I saw a really fun writing prompt from Pamela Oglesby awhile back, so now I’m writing my own take on it.
We’re building our own salad today, how exciting!
Let’s go!
1️⃣ Green base: What kind of green is your go to? (i.e. Lettuce, romaine, arugula, etc.)
I like all kinds of greens, but my favourite is a mix of arugula and spinach!
2️⃣ Cheese: Do you add one or two (or why not 3!) or have a dairy substitute?
Sadly, I can’t add too much cheese. I guess a little parmesan would be ok.
3️⃣ Protein: what do you have?
I really like tossing in some pan-fried shrimp or maybe even a hard-boiled egg! Delicious. Some chickpeas would also be nice.
4️⃣ Vegetable or fruit: what do you want to add?
Ohh, I love adding a lot of stuff. It really depends on what I have in the fridge at the moment, but here are some things I’ll toss in.
Red Onions
Bell Peppers
Shredded Carrots
Cucumbers
Cherry Tomatoes
Blueberries
Sliced Celery
Diced Apples
Diced Strawberries
