It’s been a week since contracting Covid. The days have gone by quite slowly, but things are improving. Some of the worst symptoms were severe headaches, chills, and nausea. I wouldn’t wish this upon my worst enemy!

For the first few days, I felt so sick, I didn’t have an appetite at all. There was just nothing I wanted to eat, not even my favourite foods. The thought of food made me feel sick to my stomach. This lasted for a few days.

I tested positive on Sep 10. About 5 days later, I felt better. I was able to eat small meals like bananas, yogurt, and some soups. By Friday, I felt hungry and wanted to eat. My appetite wasn’t great, but at least I was able to get some food down.

Then the problem came.

To stimulate my appetite, I suggested getting some fried rice. I figured the delicious smell would help raise some hunger pangs. I think it worked a little! I eagerly got a plate of fresh fried rice and dug in.

Umm..how come there was no taste to the rice? I figured we had bought it from a bad place. But then my family commented on how tasty and flavourful the rice was. I was saying how bland it was.
