Photo Break: Days 27 & 28, Rest Days in Edisto

Lizzie opted to spent a second rest day in Edisto. Rather than lose a day, I hired a boat to drop us down to the next island south of Edisto, Beaufort. This shaves 50 miles off our bike and puts Savannah within reachable distance of a hard afternoon of biking.

Tomorrow at 9AM we’ll meet “Cookie” to motor the two-hour ride. There’s a hefty fee to pay for the ride, and Cookie’s boss insisted I buy him a “Captain’s lunch” in Beaufort, which I take to mean drinks will be included. — Kyle
