I am envious of novelist and fellow writer here on Medium, Penny Frances, who will soon be in Montrose at the Angus Bookfest running a stall on behalf of her publisher, Fantastic Books Publishing. The book stall will feature her coming-of-age novel, Riding The High Road which is set in Scotland.

This event is run to coincide with Book Week Scotland, an annual celebration of books and reading that takes place across the country.

Book Week Scotland! Is that a great idea or what? And shouldn’t it be taken up by every country around the globe? I’m in favour, for sure.

The Fantastic Books stall will be showcasing all the books shown above and more. I’ve checked out the poster. I’ve read them all. I even wrote one of them. I also wrote the Foreword to that anthology in the bottom righthand corner, The Dummies’ Guide to Serial Killing. It was a real privilege to be invited to do this, because it was an outstanding book that went on to win the Crime Writers Association Short Story Dagger.
