A Poem

Photo by Bethany Cirlincione on Unsplash

When You stare —

my eyes shed tears
in pain and regret

my brain seems dead
by a massive short circuit.

my heart crumples
in shame and guilt.

my body shivers
as in an ague-fit

I accept —
It is my fault,
For I failed to make a start
But does that make
A writer, impotent?
Am I a writer, incompetent?

Answer it.
For a writer’s sake,
Don’t be silent…
