Are we failing?

Not the kind which earns rewards in Google Moonshot division

but the kind involving our entire species.

The indoctrination to fail starts early

When we learn that opposites attract.

Opposites do attract but likes attract more often.

We mistrust ourselves and outwardly others mistrust us.

We give lip service to being fair and having equal rights,

and simultaneously allow the suffering of our indigenous people;

laudable goals blighted by inaction.

We bleed the earth — pollute the skies — poison the water

feeding lies to the people of this great land — land of opportunity

land of the free — home of the brave — a divided and troubled land.

The bully wanna-be rent collectors have a big playground.

Money, power, and greed; three steps in making bad decisions.

How am I going to discuss this reality?

I utter my intentions and faithfully offer gratitude.

Visualize my abundance while swinging under a speckled canopy.

Drum vibrations into my soul in trying to mend my heart.

In this impartial universe upon this chaotic planet, we reap what we sow.
