Sometimes it is a smile that they share, other times it’s words of encouragement, and then there’s those words of truth, that kick in the tush, not always welcomed but needed. And, not to be forgotten, that ear, open and listening, and the heart that loves without judgement. Most of the time, though, it’s the mere presence of certain people that make for a positive change in our lives. When I think of all these things wrapped up in one, there she be, my friend, Bettie.
