Fill it up to the brim and screw the brass top on tight. It’s a wonderful, leakless footwarmer. I sleep with this in winter.

When I went for butter for my omelet it was hard for the first time in ages!
The stone counter top was cold. The dishes were cold.

The omelet was wonderful. And I fried the bread (much butterier than toast with a pat). And I put a little jar of honey on the side to dip my fried bread into.

Almost worth the chill in the air to have such a treat on a sunny fall day.

Now I have my feet on my copper hot water bottle and the radiant space heater on next to my desk.

Guitar music playing lazily.

Interesting that this was taken two years ago in mid September. Good sunbath on the afghan.

Snow is accumulating at the ski slopes. And the dry grass is greening up after yesterdays drenching.

The “now” is good right here between the Cascades and the Olympics with the sun streaming in.
