A loner’s call — Poem

Photo by Verne Ho on Unsplash

Why do I feel —
My body is devoid of soul?
And I want to explode
or escape from this world?

Utensils stink in the kitchen sink,
Things lie scattered
on the floor and my bed.
Yet!
I don’t care about it.

I wanna scream
or run away from this home.

I wanna shout at everyone.
Oh,no!Am I going insane?

Oh,wait!!!
My phone is ringing…
Can you please excuse me for a moment?
******

Aww!Now, I feel better,
I am no more bitter.

I wanna make the floor shine,
and the utensils bright and clean.

I should have known —
When I feel alone,
Talking to a loved one
will keep me sane.

I learned my lesson.
