On the banks of the Ganges

Communing with the Divine

On the steps to the river bank

Where the holy river flows

From the Himalayas

To speak to the currents

The Yogi watches the river rafters

The rafters are all thrills and action

The yogi in deep contemplation

And me the observer of this scene

The river spoke to me then

She said look, can you feel the undercurrent of life?

Can you see that whether you use me as a medium of thrill in this world

Or as a place where you surrender all desires

It is the same self that is beneath all life?

Can you see your soul like my current is constantly flowing?

On the surface appearing as one thing

And beneath something even more exquisite?

Yes you are that same self that is waging war on the innocent

And the same that is fleeing and yet again trying to help them

There is no such thing as justice in the human sense

Because it is the same self doing everything

Eventually all feel the same pain they inflict on others

And the same love and acceptance

But the world of action asks you to choose

How will you show up? Will you choose the role of the Lover?

Your soul is waiting in the wings watching

To step in when the veil between this illusion and reality is the thinnest

Then you can hear it’s call

The clearest.

Listen.
