Dream, Unrequieted by Soulez

Of all the dreams I have had and

Time for them has passed

There is one that leaves a hurtful emptiness

that sometimes elicits tears, sometimes an FU,

Sometimes a smile — (only because I remember a night upon the sands when you kept falling, and we laughed so hard I peed)

So now, All that remains is that from within a private place — —

An everlasting and haunting vision of a barefooted waltz with you

Upon the sands of Assateague To “Christofori’s Dream” playing from your old boom box,

Under a million star night, with a chorus of crashing waves and the silent audience of ghost crabs scurrying upon our Moonlit shadows

But that can and will never be,

As that boom box is long gone,

RIP my love

While I waltz with the dream once again.
