Anansi the Spider and Sarki the Python

I invented a crude version of story below when I was nine, I believe. Teacher asked where it came from and I said that I had made it up. He called me a liar.

Kaku Anansi the Spider

Although they distrusted each other, they signed a truce before crossing the Savannah, and swore they would abide by the terms. When after nearly starving they found

Sarki the Python

one groundnut, Anansi opened it, found two nuts, gave one to Sarki and ate the other one. They had nothing to eat for three days, when they found an egg. Sarki immediately broke it, swallowed its content and gave the shell to Anansi. I ate what was inside, and respecting our agreement, you can have what’s outside. Anansi shook his head. Sarki, he said, you had what was inside, now I’m gonna eat you as you are outside what was inside.
