We are fortunate, Each and everyone of us,

Whether we be in a castle, Or sheltered by cardboard,

Whether our stomachs yearn for the tiniest morsel,

Or before us, a hearty meal awaits our indulgence,

Whether we search the furniture for long lost coins,

Or worry what taxes will diminish some of our millions….

Time, like disease slights no one,

Each of us is granted an account.Time kindly deposits 86,400 seconds into our account and if not used, the balance is written off as a loss.

Each morning we are granted another credit of 86,400 seconds. We can never recoup time from yesterday, or borrow on tomorrow’s.

It is today in which we must invest. Our investment in today is all we really have.

And fortunate we are, to have

* the idea for this thought, came from a speech some 15 years ago from a 17 year old recipient of the Make a Wish Foundation. He had cancer and gave such a poignant speech about the value of time.
