It’s that time again…

… when the world is slowly unravelling at the seams,
its fullness borne past completion
and the moisture settling on every surface
brings whispers of slow liberation and release.

It’s that time again,
when the cold is a crucial but chilling phase as we shed
all we have grown used to wearing,
a little fearfully, layer upon layer of life and love and summer lushness
somehow turned ballast
and we find ourselves standing undone like trees
visible from the core
exposed to the light.
