Lo Debir

Lo Debir is a geographical location in a place of nothingness. As a mindset, it can metaphorically represent a place of hopelessness. To completely give up trying, abandoning all hope. To distinctly live without purpose, specifically in a place of missed opportunities and where dreams die.

My interpretation of Lo Debir would be to experience hell on earth. Isolated like a leper, active within their specific subculture, finding ways and means to survive like a vulture seeking a menu of deceased delicatessen delights.

It is through relationships that we render this concept a faux. Giving us an opportunity to cultivate how we thrive in social interactions and feed our inner strength. To build love, compassion, and to become useful within the world we live.

This is sufficient enough. A shoulder to lean on. A conversation. A simple hug and to say I love you extinguishes Lo Debir into its true fantasy realm. A place mentioned but not real.
