Need Not Say a Word

Maybe I was about ten years old then, when my father was scolding me for some now forgotten incident. Then, “don’t roll your eyes at me” he yelled.
Why was he yelling at me, I never sassed him back??? I had no clue to what he meant, what was “rolling your eyes” ?
Apparently, you need not decide to do it, and it was a natural, uninhibited, unfiltered talent I possessed back in the day. The eyes got me into trouble with authority several times without me having to say a word.
It was then, I learned that my eyes would never lie.
